Rough synopsis of the production timeline:

  • August 2004, film is cast and ready to go when Craig ******* fails to show on day 1 of filming, without notice... Project was put on indefinite hold and the preproduction process began anew in the Fall of 2004.
  • April-May 2005, recasting of the entire primary cast is completed. Some were able to recommit from the previous year, some were not. Over 60 people were under final consideration including the new auditioners.
  • August 14th, 2005, primary filming began on schedule.
  • The filming scheduled is accomplished for each day except one Saturday, July 16th, which is rescheduled for 6 August due to weather concerns.
  • Things run fairly smoothly until August 5th when Brandi *****, cast as Katherine, is fired from the production.
  • The remainder of the project, minus Katherine's scenes, is completed on schedule.
  • After recasting the role of Katherine all primary filming is completed on August 21, 2005.
  • Post Production is currently underway. Due to delays in primary filming, which led into other timing conflicts in the unscheduled post-production period etc, the project may not be complete until late September/early October.
  • 14 October up to 77% of the film has been edited (depending on the rule of thumb you go by, still have 20 out of 122 DVDs of raw footage to load so one could say 84% has been loaded etc) which means a rough cut could be completed by the end of October.
  • 28 and 29 October the initial rough cut is completed with sound tech making notes for remaining soundwork and music inclusion.
  • 27, 28 and 29 January-Bryan visits and spends the weekend working on soundtrack material after the initial scorer dropped unexpectedly... between this and the screening the project got corrupted and was partially recovered.
  • 11 February 2006 intitial screening for film at the Mid-Town Cinema!!!! Feedback was generally positive. Am considering releasing with minimal or no soundtrack as it does stand well without music.
  • 20 April 2006 screening held in Baltimore at Gardel's Dinner Club. Feedback was mixed.
  • 29-30 April 2006 cut a black and white version of the project and reworked the trailer.
  • June 29th-July 1st-previewed at Origins Gaming Convention Screening Room.
  • 26 September 2006 "Some Kind of Justice" is available for purchase on DVD Click here to buy from Createspace. Amazon will be listing it in about two weeks.
  • October 2006 IMDB and Amazon both list "Some Kind of Justice"!
  • January 2007 "Some Kind of Justice" is picked up by Film Runner for online distribution.
  • 17 February 2007 Screening at the Allen Theater in Annville, PA for the 12:30PM Matinee and the Midnight Movie.
